I started off my clerk of works role within Openreach in 2020. and the main duties of my role are supporting the senior project manager who overseas a number of different fibre build areas. I have my own project areas that I run and then link back into the senior project manager with progress and information. main duties include:

• Surveying rural areas that do not have access to any FTTP.
• Lead on a government school project, Delivering FTTP to schools across England
• Use in house systems to then design and plan how i wanted to get this to work from end to end
• Collaborated with property owners and tenants to address needs and gain relevant permissions to work on their land.
• Oversee the project being built and there as a point of contact in case any issues arise that would need a complex plan to get around using critical thinking to break down problems, evaluate solutions and make decisions
• Carried out relevant safety checks on team members to make sure that everyone would be safe to work
• Liaised with Civils construction teams to synchronise workflows and get updated estimates
• Closely managed site operations, keeping team production at optimal pace whilst Updating Project managers on progress for improved forward planning.

• Monitored site productivity levels to Deliver high-quality results within budget and timeframe targets.

• Managed delivery and shipment of supplies required for projects whilst checking materials met safety, quality and compliance standards. • Improved efficiency and productivity by acquiring new skills. and then delivering training to give other team members these skills

• Designated TAILS engineer ( these are completing jobs that need longer times on , out of hours work , or more engineering experience on. basically having a CAN do attitude to do anything possible to get the customer in service

• nstallation and faulting of electrical circuits and systems in mainly commercial premises
• Read and interpreted electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications for wiring layouts.
• Carried out reactive maintenance and repairs in time-critical environments

• Conducted risk analyses and followed health and safety protocols. Installed, tested and modified circuit breakers, controls, fuses, lights and motors.

• Maintained clean, safe working environments, minimising risk to staff and visitors.

• Documented completed work to company standards. Met quality control standards through thorough inspections of completed electrical works.
• Operated electrical measuring devices appropriately, including analysers, amp metres and voltmeters.
• Completed Electrical Certificates and Electrical Condition Reports for optimal project compliance.
• Selected appropriate electrical testing methods based on available resources. and accurately diagnosed wiring faults, recording exact details to maintain traceability

• Went to college on a day release course whilst working with a qualified electrician
• Mainly worked on domestic installations and repairs chasing walls out, rewires, new installations, modifying exciting installations, faulting electrical installations
• Shadowed qualified electricians to understand electrical installation, repair and maintenance task

• Assisted with electrical installations, including lighting and smoke detectors.

• Measured and cut required supplies such as wire and conduit.
