I have over eight years' experience providing essential services to the public, consisting of over six years within the control room for London Fire Brigade, progressing to my current role of Control Commander. In all operational conditions, I am the officer in charge of a watch of fifteen staff, of which I am the direct line manager to three Assistant Control Commanders. Prior to this I was a Prison Officer.
During this time, I have become highly accustomed to making critical decisions to identify and implement solutions to incidents in emergency, often life threatening, situations. Communicating effectively, using a range of media, I tailor my approach specifically to the situation and recipients. Displaying a fair and ethical approach to others while remaining calm and controlled at all times, I am an honest and confident leader that is solution focused. Passionate about providing the best possible service to the public, I am committed to self, and team development, continual improvement and ultimately, achieving excellence.
