For the last two years, I have covered Bristol City Football Club as Bristol Live and the Bristol Post’s Bristol City reporter. In my position, I have:

• Led the publication's coverage of Bristol City Football Club and local sport in the region, producing written, digital, audio and video content for a diverse audience.
• Built a strong relationship with the club's media team as the local journalist to maximise the quality of coverage of Bristol City.
• Managed relationships to ensure both parties are able to do their job effectively, whilst gaining a knowledge of how best to work alongside one another when on opposite sides of the press conference desk.
• Produced accurate and timely written articles and video content to strict deadlines - notably on-the-whistle match reports, quote pieces and long-read feature interviews.
• Run weekly live blogs to keep supporters updated on events at Championship matches, a format I have also expanded to include transfer windows and press conferences to diversify our storytelling ability.
• Attended weekly pre- and post-match press conferences, asking engaging questions to produce a weekly content plan. I have also regularly worked weekends, travelling across the country to attend men's, women's and academy fixtures, building relationships with staff, management, players and pundits that have allowed me to play stories that could otherwise be forgotten.
• Have written to a house style and gained knowledge of how to use a content management system independently.
• Helped build an engaged subscriber base of 700 readers since the launch of Bristol Live Premium in April, with each subscriber paying £5 a month.
• Re-launched, presented and helped to produce and advertise Bristol Live's Bristol City podcast, 'Robins on the Wire,' which has a loyal, engaged audience.
• Strengthened the company's social media presence by creating engaging content across Facebook, X and TikTok.
• Coordinated with students on placement, videographers, photographers and freelance reporters to maximise the coverage of Bristol City.
• Gained knowledge of Google Trends and Chartbeat to monitor the performance of content, allowing me to cater to the audience by producing content our audience wishes to read.
• Managed placement students and interns working with the paper to both aid their development and maximise our ability to cover matchdays and press conferences effectively.

In my role at Breaking Media, I produced articles on matchdays and throughout the week covering Premier League and EFL football clubs including Leeds United, West Bromwich Albion, Portsmouth, Everton, Aston Villa, and Tottenham.

In my work, I:

• Produced articles written to deadlines that have received more than 7.5million views in 2024.
• Gained an understanding of SEO techniques and put them to use to maximise online traffic and benefit from latest media trends.
• Produced matchday content including player ratings, statistical breakdowns, reactions from pundits and comment pieces.
• Produced clean and clear copy regularly without the aid of an editor.
• Written to house style that is consistent across websites.
• Conducted interviews with pundits and financial analysts for exclusive articles.
• Gained knowledge of Google Analytics to identify trends in content and written headlines to maximise traffic.
