As a Recovery Connector my role is to use my own lived experience plus the professional experience I have to help and assist individuals on their recovery journey from addiction

• Providing support and guidance. Building trusting relationships and encouraging positive change.
• Assessing needs. Identifying a persons goals, risks, and support requirements.
• Creating recovery plans. Setting achievable steps toward recovery and independence.
• Offering practical help. Assisting with housing needs, benefits, employment needs or healthcare needs where I can or signposting.
• Emotional support. Listening and motivating individuals though setbacks and trying to encourage a positive way of thinking.
• Working with other services. Coordinating with other healthcare providers, social workers , and other community organisations.
• Monitoring Progress. Reviewing recovery goals and adjusting plans when needed.
