Espace global Freight

2022.10 - 2024.08

This was my first job where i had a key role to play, my jobs was tasked to grow a small department and to be a problem solver.

i help with keeping our big customers a float by giving them regular updates and going above and beyond to make sure the job was done with no issues.

i had a portfolio of high regarded customers and had very good working relationships which improved the amount of work that we won with each individual company. I had personal targets which i always maintained to achieve and company targets which me and my team always passed too

we was known for being problem solvers and nothing was too big or too little, we talked every task as it came and was always truthful with the customer, we used initiative and a "think out the box" attitude which customers would appreciate.

My main task was to book all shipments and follow them through each step of the way sending regular updates and checking to make sure that all paperwork/information was sent over to the customer. i was heavily relied on within my business and also looked over other peoples work as a second opinion

i would visit customers and customer would come and visit us to make sure we was keeping our working relationship as healthy as possible

This was my first job, my responsibilities was to learn the ins and outs of freight as a whole.

I started in business admin, passing invoices, helping with customer care and starting to work in the groupage side of NTG to gain valuable knowledge whilst doing my apprenticeship in business admin.

I passed my business admin apprenticeship with a diploma and moved on to learning every role in the business, i worked in the warehouse for 3 months to understand work flows and learn about the importation and export of goods as well as helping with packaging contracts. i also was also an assistant in a major storage contract. helping to make sure that all goods were easy to locate and making sure we can fit as many pallets into as many available spaces as possible. This was a big part of my career.

Following on from this i joined the customer department as we left the EU, i thought it was beneficial that i knew how customs procedures working straight away and passed my level 2 customs course.

Following on from learning about customs, i moved to being a freight forwarder for some of our major clients bringing the customs knowledge with me, i was tasked for keeping a healthy relationship with all clients and ensuring that all jobs were done to the best of our ability.

My overall job for the last year was being part of the premium freight department as this included key accounting and learning how to do logistics as quick and efficient as possible.
