Summary

Third year LJMU student currently studying Sport Business. Alongside my Sport Business degree at LJMU, I have also been gaining some relevant, first hand, workplace experience at one of the biggest football clubs, performing at the elite level both on and off the field. My role as part of the LFC Stores Team is apart of the operations team for the football club, I am based at one of the most iconic sports stadiums in the world and undertake a number of jobs supporting various different sectors of the business. The three main parts of the football which we help to run are retail catering (matchday general admission as well as non-matchday events such as supporting the coffee shop based inside the new multimillion pound club shop, whilst also supporting the kiosks open for events such as stadium tours), hospitality (matchday corporate admission and also non-matchday events such as weddings and funeral, we help this side of the operation run by ensuring the bars are stocked, cellars are prepared and the rooms are set up either in the traditional matchday set-up, or in a way in which the sales team has agreed with the people booking the event) we also support the first team operations staff from a logistical point of view (whether it be delivering things to players' houses or ensuring that things such as drinks or any food is delivered on time from the AXA EXPERIENCE training ground to the stadium in time for when the players arrive. I believe that seeing how an elite football club and business in general is ran from an operational point of view from within (whilst also being apart of it), will give me the extra edge moving forward in my career.
