Hi, I’m

Daisy Irons-Small

Salisbury,Hampshire

Summary

Pragmatic, self-motivated and friendly individual, who has a devout passion for conservation and wildlife. Growing up on a farm which has always put the natural environment first, and being located next to a nature reserve has given me the opportunity to not only observe wildlife but participate in local surveys surrounding the river Meon, which runs through the farm. This certainly shaped my path onto a university course which allowed me to further learn and explore a subject I am determined to succeed in, learning so many new skills, including various surveying techniques, ArcGIS and in the laboratory. I did start a MSc Environmental Geology & Land Contamination course in September however, quickly realising a future of sharing knowledge and learning from others was more suited, the next step in my career is to go into teaching to help the next generation connect with the environment around them.
