DEFENCE CONTRIBUTION & LEADERSHIP

Throughout my career I have actively sought opportunities beyond my immediate clinical role, pursuing postgraduate education, representing Defence Healthcare at senior-level conferences and promoting health and wellbeing through both professional practice and personal example. I am committed to continuous learning and aspire to make a meaningful contribution to Defence Healthcare through leadership, innovation and a proactive approach to patient care.

WELLBEING & PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

I am a strong advocate for wellbeing and believe healthcare professionals should actively embody the healthy behaviours they promote. Outside of nursing, I am passionate about fitness, strength training and maintaining an active lifestyle. I enjoy reading, leadership and personal development and continually seek opportunities for self-improvement. I am particularly interested in creating initiatives that bring people together through fitness, education and shared learning. In future appointments I hope to contribute to wellbeing programmes, lead physical training activities and establish opportunities such as workplace book clubs that encourage personal growth, resilience and team cohesion.

Through clinical excellence, leadership and health promotion, I aim to improve the health, wellbeing and operational readiness of Service Personnel. My ambition is to develop as a specialist Primary Healthcare Nurse within Defence Healthcare and become a recognised advocate for preventative healthcare, wellbeing and professional development.
