I am a 23-year-old sports journalist, and I graduated from Southampton Solent University in the summer of 2026 with a 2:1 in Sports Journalism. The BJTC recognises the course and is the oldest and regarded as the best Sports Journalism course in the United Kingdom.

Over the three years, I have picked up many skills that have helped me excel throughout my time at university, and these are all skills that I would be keen on developing, as well as learning lots of new ones along the way. I am an outgoing, reliable individual, and with the help of my TikTok channel, my confidence as a person and also in front of a camera has grown massively.

  • In my second year, I completed a week of work experience with the media and marketing team at Mayflower Theatre and Studios. I was tasked with putting together a marketing strategy for one of the upcoming shows, writing stories for their website, attending a filming day with ITV Meridian for their feature piece on Spitfire Girls, and getting some behind-the-scenes clips to put on the Maylowers' social media pages.

  • Also, in my second year, I gained work experience with a local radio station called Voice FM, where I hosted a show called Team Talk. Before the show, I would prep all the latest local sports stories that had occurred over the weekend and put them into the news bulletin.

  • I ran the social media pages for my local football team, Warminster Town, creating posts for games that they had played and also their upcoming games.
