I am an enthusiastic student who is a hard worker and keen learner. I am motivated when it comes to working with different people and creating and organising team projects, and making sure I complete my own assignments to the best of my abilities.
While on my gap year (2021-2022) before I went to study my undergraduate degree, I volunteered part time in a local library. Many of the other volunteers were unsure about technology, thus helping them strengthened my own communication skills, my computer skills and my problem-solving abilities.
From 2014-2024, I helped with my Uncle's company, which organised concerts with live music. On front of house duties, worked on assisting patrons such as the Mayor of Bath to their seats and handling payments for tickets and programmes.
I studied Eastern European History at A-Level, which piqued my interest in many aspects of some of those countries, such as the people, the food, and the transformations the countries have been on throughout history.
I travelled to Tallinn in Estonia during 2021, where I met a range of nationalities (Estonian, Russian, Latvian), which helped with my confidence during travelling, and speaking to new people.
In 2022, I travelled by train through Western Poland, stopping in cities such as Gdansk and Poznan. This experience challenged me significantly, as some of the smaller cities speak little English. Thus, it was important that I was able to speak a little Polish, so I was able to communicate with locals if I needed directions or advice.
I have since returned to Poland twice, with Warsaw being my favourite city. The city's rich history is both painful and beautiful, and the blend of the Old Town and the new, modern parts of the city continue to fascinate me. On a personal level, my trips to Poland have helped me to feel confidant enough to travel to other places on my own, such as Germany.
