I am currently a remote web developer for Aptean developing software for one of Europe's leading flooring specialists Headlam handling all their bossiness needs such as distribution, stock inventory, Sales & Purchase ordering and reporting etc.

This is a large multi year project and involves the complete upgrade of the current legacy system into a modern UI/UX solution using Angular (JS), C# .NET , Visual Studio 2022/ VS Code and Oracle SQL.

Each piece of the project is managed via Azure Dev Ops using Continuous Integration. My rework involves the creating of user stories working on given tasks and squashing bugs in all areas of the project whether it be styling HTML with CSS, creating back end processes and general code tidy ups. The coding is developed on Visual Studio 2022 handled by GIT.

This role involved the maintenance and improvement of the software using various web technologies such as VB6, Visual Studio Code, GIT and D3 DBMS for AIX and Linux in conjunction with the ASP.NET Core MVC framework to maintain the current apps and APIs.

This role involved the research and development of Sanderson's ERP solution into HTML5, covering areas such as Field Service, Distribution, Planning, Finance and Stock Control.

I developed HTML5 views using ASP.NET with MVVM architecture along with JavaScript, jQuery, Kendo UI Controls and Typescript interfacing with a Unidata Database. This is developed using Visual Studio 2019 alongside Microsoft's Cloud based Azure DevOps used for source control and project management. Other technologies used include IIS, Visual Studio Tools for Office, Visual Studio Apps for Office, wIntergrate and browser development tools running on a Windows 10 operating system.

I was also the lead developer for smaller projects, which involve the design, development, build and support of various solutions such as Shop Floor Data Collections developed with C# / VB.NET and VSTO/Office 365. These solutions have been offshoots of our main ERP product connecting to our multi-relational database (Unidata) via pool connections.

This role involved being a member of the development team responsible for the upgrade of Sanderson's ERP solution (Unity) developed using Microsoft's Visual Studio to run on desktops via terminal servers. Approximately 20 developers worked on this project over three sites covering various modules. Tasks included designing screen layouts, incorporating newer technologies such as Visual Basic, Transverse and Silverlight as well as documenting, testing new features and supporting the implementation onto client sites. The size and complexity of the project required strict handling of bugs, testing and versioning via various in-house systems and methodologies.

This position involved the implementation of Sanderson's ERP solution (PICS). The areas covered included Sales/Purchase ordering, Work in Progress, MRP, Wages/Salaries and Reporting. The implementation process usually took several months with various support and training options available to clients, the work was carried out both on-site and remotely. The languages coded were Uni Databasic and vbScript. Other duties included system configuration, analysis and fault resolution, on client sites as well as telephone support a vital part of after sales service. I worked as an IT support engineer and trainee developer alongside the sites administrator. My duties involved supporting CAD engineers, office and shop floor employees as well as developing a costing system to provide quicker turnarounds for project estimations.
