Summary

I have just short of 28 years experience in the Fire Service which culminated as a Watch Commander within our Training Department based in Perth, over these years I have comprehensive experience in managing emergency situations and ensuring public safety. I have a proven ability to lead teams and coordinate rescue operations. A strong communicator with expertise in training personnel who is committed to maintaining high standards of operational readiness and safety.

Within the Training Function my speciality remit was in Breathing Apparatus, Compartment Fire Behaviour Training (CFBT) and Tactical Ventilation, as well as leading on these subjects and delivering them to new recruits and firefighter refresher training I was also involved in the SFRS Practitioners group which looked at updating and changing our BA policies and procedures.

As well as working as part of a team I am equally adept at working on my own using my initiative and skills to contribute to organisational success.

Outwith my role within the Fire Service I have also worked part time as a Drainage Operative and have over 20 years experience in this field.
