I have always been passionate and committed to my work in my 3 professional working roles, starting in entry level positions building a foundation of knowledge around roles, duties and responsibilities. This allowed me to envision a clear career progression path and work towards that goal by attending relevant training programmes within the company.

In my operational service I have applied this same strategy, committing totally to my role, learning the specifics and the individual and collective expectations, proceeding to spend time with my superiors to gain an insight into their knowledge and experience to expand my own.

In my twenty-five years of work experience I developed the necessary skills to carry forward. I have worked in highly emotional situations within the funeral industry, and this enabled me to provide a calm, collected yet empathetic professional service. When I worked for Parcelforce as a manager this was a pressurised commercial company where budgeting, seeing the bigger picture, strategic planning and managing a team of staff gave me the opportunity to recognise my strengths in these areas, be adaptable and deliver at pace. These are some of the transferrable skills I feel are relevant to any workplace which can be adapted to any environment.

I see the remainder of my working career being within customer service and believe I can bring positive improvement to the staff and the company where I work, influencing and motivating staff.

Over the last 20 years I have run and coached numerous football teams ranging from under 7's to senior mens football, using my passion and knowledge of football I created a charity football club for prison officers where we played games around the South East to raise money for Help for heroes.
