• I worked as a Slinger on a private building site based in Watford, South Oxhey my duties were:
• Banking the crane using radio and hand signals.
• Checking lifting equipment before and after use
• Work efficiently
• Correct PPE
• Comply with the Method statement (lift plan)
• The crane used for the tasks was a saddle-jib tower crane with a height of 30 meters.
• Lifting materials onto the loading bays for subcontractors and the main contractor, such as plasterboard, plywood,bricks,skips,bins with concrete,scaffold boards,tubes, and stillages,installing metal frame balconies.
  

• RC Frame building site
• Crane type: Tower Cranes with luffing jibs and a height of 40 meters.
• My duties as a Slinger were to bank and coordinate the cranes(TC1 and TC2) between the 3 buildings via radio and hand signals.
• To make sure the lifts are executed as stated in the RAMS and Lift Plan.
• Ensure all the (trades)subcontractors are getting their deliveries of materials offloaded and distributed on site to their respective working areas.
• Daily work activities were:feeding bricklayers, lifting packs of bricks, and concrete mix using designated bins.
• Lifting rebar for steel fixers.
• Packs of plywood,timbers, and different sizes of prefabricated aluminium panels for carpenters.

• It was an HS2 project.
• Scope of work: Installing drainage pipes and utility mainholes using the MGF trench box system.
• My duties as a Slinger were to inspect the lifting gear(chains,slings,shackles) before and after use,visual insepction on the lifting points on the trench box.

Lifting according to the lift plan and method statement.

Keeping the exclusion zone in place while lifting,using the whistle to

raise the attention of the workers nearby.

The machinery used for the task was and 14 tonner Tacked Excavator.

• I worked as a Slinger and Gantry Crane Operator for Aling JV on HS2’s 10-mile twin-bore Chiltern tunnel phase.
• My working area was based in the Segments Precast Yard.
• The purpose of the yard was to store the segments made in the Segment Factory and deliver them to the tunnel team for installation.

• I worked on the HS2 project, Tunnel Section.
• The work area was a threading yard where we received deliveries of steel.From there we thread them and send them on to the trailers to the tunnel for installation.
• The crane used to perform the task was a telescopic crawler crane of 60 tonnes with a boom length of 40 meters.
• On the same site, I worked with different plants such as diggers of 15,25,40 tonnes being used for different types of works such as drainage,making walkways,moving materials and maintenance.

• I work as a Crane Supervisor for SCS JV.
• My responsibilities include supervising and overseeing subcontractors, ensuring that the teams are informed about health and safety procedures, lift plans,company values and maintaining a safe workplace.
