- I have been at LCW for 9 years and in my current role as Service Delivery Team Leader for the last 4 months, my role is to oversee the operations of the Camden & Islington boroughs for the NHS 111 out of hours services
- In this role, I oversee the daily management of around 40 people within my region
- My role also has a very close interface with Clinicians, Service Managers, HR, Finance, IT and Business Intelligence
- Manage a team of 40 drivers to support the optimal service delivery of the NHS 111 service
- Lead, train and support my team, creating a culture of high performance, quality and professionalism
- Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimise productivity and enhance the service quality
- Work with senior management to ensure alignment with organisational goals and key SLA's within our service area
- Foster an environment that encourages continuous learning and development, empowering my team to reach their full potential
- Actively monitor service performance and resolve any issues promptly to maintain service quality
- Continually find ways to improve the operational efficiency of our service
- Manage the resourcing needs of our drivers, ensuring that sufficient and suitable staffing levels are met to deliver the service
- Review and approve weekly timesheets for all our agency clinicians (we currently employ around 50 clinicians from about 15 different recruitment agencies)
- Monitor all staff compliance and make sure that everyone is up to date with their training
- Ensuring that all medical, DBS, and drivers licenses checks are routinely checked for all staff
- Manage all staff comms, keeping everyone up to date with service updates, changes
- Run productivity reports for Doctors and any other ad-hoc reports for our medical director
- Present my department's KPI's and target results to our commissioners on a monthly basis and capture any feedback that needs to be actioned
- Conduct appraisals for all staff bi-annually
- Continually suggesting ways to improve the service
