I worked alongside my brother in law as an electrician for years. we worked together all over Scotland from my home town to staying away in places such as Newton Stewart. we had done all sorts of jobs from general house work e.g. fitting lights to full house rewires. on the big jobs i was carrying out various tasks, stripping walls and flooring in order to lay cables and wiring sockets and lights. working in other peoples homes had always taught me from a young age how to maintain and keep a tidy workspace and etiquette on how to greet and talk to customers where the jobs are taking place.

  • Planned layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on specifications and applicable code.
  • Installed electric switches and sockets.
  • Operated electrical measuring devices appropriately, including analysers, amp metres and voltmeters.
