I am a Sales Manager with over 7 years experience in the automotive industry working with a varied clientele through roles in volume branding and luxury branding. In my more recent roles I have developed my ability to work well with other departments and colleagues to achieve a common goal. I have also developed my organisational and prioritisation skills whilst in these roles. This has become incredibly useful when building relationships with clientele and colleagues to ensure that all needs and expectations are met.

I am an incredibly driven individual who strives to achieve what I set my mind to. Whilst achieving my own goals and targets is important to me I will always maintain a focus on the company's targets and objectives. I thrive under pressure and enjoy working in pressured situations. I use methodical problem solving techniques and information gathering to make difficult or complex decisions.

I pride myself on being able to quickly and effectively pick up new skills and knowledge in a subject that I am not familiar with. I immerse myself in the subject in any way I can in order to maximise my learning. I am always looking for extra guidance or coaching and will seek out colleagues who can help improve my knowledge and skill set. Learning new skills engages me and I am always looking for new challenges and responsibilities to fulfil this need.

Main Achievement:

I took on my current role with the performance of the site at a sub optimal level having arrived behind budget in a loss for the last two years. With my guidance and input we finished Quarter 1 2026 with a record breaking result netting over £265,000 profit. We are projecting to net just over £800,000 profit for 2026.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leading the sales team of 12 to achieve my unit target and monetary budget.
  • Analyse previous time frame performance to increase and improve future performance.
  • Build relationships with our customers to ensure a 5 star service throughout.
  • Manage difficult and pressured situations to ensure positive outcomes for both the customer and the company.
  • Find and exploit new outgoing prospect opportunities through current renewals and local partnerships.

When I joined the team at Porsche Centre Leeds they were performing very well in most areas. I spotted a small gap in the F&I area of upsell and implemented a change in process which resulted in an increase of profit of £60,000 for 3 quarters of 2024.

  • Responsible for the day to day runnings of the sales team.
  • Control and monitor all interactions with customers to ensure a strong conversion ratio.
  • Build and maintain strong a F&I profit in the department ensuring all qualitative measures such as product split and finance penetration are met along the way.
  • Ensure that all compliance requirements are met for the sales team inline with the expectations of the Financial Conduct Authority.

Although I do not have any qualifications in these areas I am self taught and competent in the following: 

  • Excel for data compiling and analytical purposes - I am competent at creating dashboards to present number heavy information in an easy to understand layout.
  • Presentation and public speaking - I am confident in both building presentations and delivering them both face to face or online.
  • Customer qualification and needs assessment - I am confident in fully qualifying a customers needs and ensuring whatever I offer that customer will match what they require.

Affiliations

  • I volunteer around 30 hours of my time a month to the Police as a Special Constable. My duties include a range of activities that support regular serving Police Officers.
  • I have a passion for restoring motor vehicles and I am currently working on a 94 reg Landrover Defender. This lets me relax and clear my mind.
  • I enjoy hiking, camping and outdoor activities with my partner and our dog. This is my family time and it is super important to me.
