I regularly babysit for friends of the family with two children at the primary school age. Responsibilities include ensuring their safety and wellbeing by providing entertainment and boundaries in a friendly atmosphere. Cooking for the children and putting them to bed.

Over the last two years I have worked at a busy and successful greengrocers. Daily responsibilities include:

• Produce Handling, which includes the knowledge of different fruit and vegetable varieties, maintaining freshness and giving quality checks.
• Customer Service, ensuring I am giving the best quality experience for the customers: a polite, friendly and diplomatic manner, giving advice on produce and supporting customers to find the right products.
• Stock Management, I regularly update the stock and maintain the quality of the displays which varies season to season.
• General retail, I operate the tills every shift, which includes handling cash, card machines, and ensuring I have an updated knowledge on all the products as it is a fast moving and frequently changing stock. As my shifts are at the end of the day I have to ensure that the cash made from the day is securely locked in the safe. Finally I have to ensure that the shop is secure and safely locked and I have responsibility for the keys.
• Training, I have provided induction training for numerous members of staff. Which has always been positively received.

For work experience, in year ten, I worked at a hairdressers for two weeks. Responsibilities included greeting customers, making refreshments, laundry, washing equipment, sweeping the floor and supporting the stylists with provision of equipment as they were working.
