My current aspirations are to utilise my skills gained as a Retail Store Manager, and more recently as Regional HR Consultant to pursue the next stage in the development of my career. I have been in the role of Store Manager with Lidl GB for the last 9.5 years. Prior to that, I had full accountability for SSP's two largest retail sites in Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central. I managed every aspect of these stores key performance indicators, along with H&R and training for all colleagues, and client relationships on several fronts. Throughout my career I have always strived to support the wider business, from training roll-outs to supporting new store openings. Last year I successfully launched our switch to digital and store based colleague onboarding for the entirety of Scotland for Lidl GB. I also have prior experience of business development projects. In my previous job, I worked with colleagues in Finance and Business Controls to streamline our reporting process. We harnessed advances in IT to make our processes more effective and efficient, managing a successful UK wide implementation. I have also fulfilled the role of Store Manager Coach, where I was responsible for delivering Lidl Training Academy courses to Store, Deputy, and Shift Managers from across Scotland. I am adept at managing change, and I have focused greatly on developing my relationships in the wider business throughout my career. I gained a 1:1 for my University dissertation, which focused primarily on customer service and internal communication policies of Tesco. I have an analytical aptitude, whilst being able to communicate effectively to colleagues at all levels, and I embrace a diverse culture within the workplace.
