I am an experienced writer with a diverse background in journalism, editing and copywriting, including roles at a national newspaper, B2C content creation for Pro:Direct Sport, and my current position which is a fully remote full-time freelance gig at Paddy Power. I also receive regular commissions from UEFA and Pitch PR and have a proven ability to engage audiences through multiple voices and varied briefs.
I achieved a 2:1 in Sports Journalism on a course that included various NCTJ accreditations.
I also achieved three A levels and 10 GCSEs (all C or higher).
Sports writing is a huge passion of mine and football was my first love. I support and part-own Exeter City (along with a few thousand others) and get along to see them live whenever I can.
I live in south east Devon with my wife Beth and our daughters Amelia and Imogen, as well as our cat Lola who effectively runs the house.
I was raised on a farm on Dartmoor before heading to London for work. My wife and I returned to the English Riviera in 2017 to be closer to family and enjoy the beautiful scenery Devon has in abundance.
