Working as a team member with the Chairman and other board members we have delivered significant investment into the Greater Lincolnshire Area. Taking a sectorial and focused approach and talking to Government about shared ambition has been a win-win for the Greater Lincolnshire area. We have a stronger Agri Food,Defence,Advanced Manufacturing and Tourism sector because of a clearly defined outcomes approach.

Elected Member of Lincolnshire County Council from 2005. Chair of the Council's Environmental Scrutiny Committee 2009-2013.

Appointed to the Council Executive Board in May 2013 with Responsibility for Economy,Environment and Strategic Planning. Lead member for Lincolnshire on The Anglian Northern Regional Flood and Coastal Committee from that date. I Oversee Lincolnshires role with Humber 2100, Saltfleet to Gibraltar Point and Fens 2100. I have Executive responsibility for our role as Lead Local Flood authority and work closely with the Environment Agency to deliver our shared strategic goals arounf Flood management across our County and wider area. I chair The Gibraltar Point Joint Strategic Advisory Committee, oversee our Natural Environment strategy which includes management of footpaths and our coastal environment. Always recognising that whilst carrying responsibility I lead a team and everything is a team effort.
