  • Within my organisation I engaged with senior management as part of the learning and development strategy for the organisation sitting on the learning and development sub group. This group looked at the development of training, information and resources that would be implemented across the organisation. As part of the function of the group all training would be bench marked and quality assured before being rolled out to front line staff.
  • I also sat on my organisations child and adult protection forum which looked at how the organisation developed policy, practice and service delivery in line with National care standards ,SSSC requirements and adult/child protection legislation.
  • As part of my role I engaged with Social work services from initial enquiry to the service, to transitional work , development of care plan/service and through care/after care for the young people. I worked in conjunction with social work teams from all over Scotland to support young people and their families, To develop services and to investigate complaints and concerns.
  • I worked in partnership with families to ensure that their Child's needs were assessed, developed and progressed in an empathetic,nurturing and holistic manner.

Affiliations

  • Outside of work I am involved in coaching grassroots youth football with two teams. I am the goal keeping coach and have responsibility for designing and implementing training programs to enhance player development .
  • I enjoy exercise and go to the gym regularly . I love walking and exploring Scotland when the weather allows !.
  • I am a massive music fan, I have an extensive vinyl collection of around 2000 records . I love most genres of music and love going to gigs .
