Coco Fabre

My role as a waitress was to oversea a section of the restaurant. I sat customers, took orders and payments, cleared and reset tables - my job was to create a warm and pleasant atmosphere for the guests from the moment they walked in, to the moment they walked out, whilst staying organised and structured enough to make the turnover of customers sufficient for the restaurant to thrive.

I also took part in various other roles when the restaurant was short staffed, and filled in where I could. I worked as a barista on certain days, and behind the bar on some evenings too. I made cocktails, coffees and other drinks. Additionally, I worked as a runner, bringing food and drinks to all the tables. I filled and ran the dishwashers as well as polished the glasses and crockery coming out of them.

I also worked as a cleaner for the restaurant when I could - I was given the responsibility of cleaning the restaurant and preparing for closing and opening times, as well as making sure everything was properly replaced and maintained.
