Summary

Motivated and creative project coordinator with hands-on experience across the full event cycle—from logistics and client liaison to content creation and live delivery. At BeaconHouse Events, I coordinate a variety of projects while producing digital content for social media, website blog posts, LinkedIn and emails. I’ve contributed to marketing activity using tools like Mailchimp, Canva and Eventbrite, and worked onsite at major events including Atomicon 2025 at The Glasshouse.

During a competitive internship with Counterculture Partnership LLP, I supported the delivery of Beyond the Horizon 2025 (a MOBO Fringe event) at The Glasshouse—working with regional stakeholders and attending the MOBO Music Summit, which emphasised my ambition to build a long-term career at the intersection of music and marketing.

As a passionate jazz fan and regular attendee of live music events, I’m excited to grow within a music-focused venue where I can use my strengths in coordination, content and communication to help connect artists with audiences.

Project Coordinator

BeaconHouse Events
Newcastle upon Tyne
03.2025 - Current

As Project Coordinator at BeaconHouse Events, I support the planning, marketing, and delivery of events across a diverse client portfolio, while producing engaging content for our digital channels. I work closely with performers, venues, and partners to ensure seamless event experiences and clear, targeted communications.

Key Responsibilities & Highlights:

  • Produce and edit Instagram Reels, blog articles, LinkedIn and website content to promote BeaconHouse and client projects.
  • Email Marketing using Mailchimp
  • Produce on-brand graphics and promotional materials in Canva to support marketing campaigns and live events.
  • Event Ticketing and Registration using Eventbrite
  • Schedule and coordinate social media posts and contribute to the overall content strategy.
  • Manage delegate booking systems, event enquiries and customer-facing communication.
  • Liaise with speakers, performers, and partners, coordinating logistics and supporting engagement.
  • Delivered Atomicon 2025 onsite, liaising with The Glasshouse Events, AV, and FOH staff. One of my favourite events to be part of.
  • Support digital and print marketing campaigns, including brief creation and basic in-house design.
  • Update and maintain internal and client databases, websites, and event materials stock.
  • Prepare post-event data and contribute to evaluation reports and client-facing debriefs.
  • Champion inclusive and sustainable approaches in line with BeaconHouse’s values.
  • Script wrote for North East actor Gary Kitching at the CF Fertilisers Awards Ceremony at Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough.
  • Conduct venue and supplier research and support the development of new business proposals.
  • Support speaker logistics including briefing presenters and managing tech rehearsals for virtual events.

Event Production Intern

CounterCulture LLP
Newcastle upon Tyne
01.2025 - 03.2025

Selected for a highly competitive internship supporting Beyond the Horizon 2025—a flagship MOBO Fringe event hosted at The Glasshouse, delivered by consultancy firm CounterCulture LLP and led by Uzma Johal MBE. The event brought together regional leaders, including North East Mayor Kim McGuinness, NECA, and events, tourism, heritage and cultural professionals to a shape collective long-term event strategy for the region.

Key Contributions and Outcomes:

  • Managed delegate registration and maintained data systems with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Contributed to pre-event asset mapping, logistics, and on-site coordination with venue staff.
  • Provided on-the-day support alongside The Glasshouse’s events and AV teams.
  • Attended the MOBO Music Summit panel “Build Your Tribe”—a pivotal moment that sparked my desire to work in live music marketing. I was particularly excited to hear speakers from Jazz Refreshed and the Blues Project speak.
  • Built a strong professional relationship with Uzma Johal MBE, who remains part of my network.
  • Networked with BeaconHouse Events staff at the event—leading directly to my current full-time role before graduating. Securing a full-time events-focused role before graduating places me ahead of many peers: data shows that fewer than two-thirds (64.7%) of creative graduates are in full-time employment 15 months after graduation .
  • Recognised by course leader Dr Sharon Wilson at Northumbria University as a “success story” for early-career ambition and drive.
  • Developed full-cycle event delivery skills while gaining insight into strategic cultural programming.
  • As fortunate as I am to have started my career so early, this experience—and my current role—have shown me clearly that music and marketing are where I see myself working long-term.
