Project / Programme Manager (Jun 2006 - Aug 2007)
- During this period the objective was to concentrate on completing projects outstanding from the previous year. These included:
- Hedge Fund training and handover of the administration to BAU.
- Development of a hedge fund module within in-house administrative software - Financial Portfolio Management (FPM).
- Outline requirements for a new Order Entry module for FPM.
- Review and redesign of Investment Administration work practices.
- Testing and implementation of compliance module for FPM.
- Review and change of 3rd party data and systems providers.
Marketing and Project / Programme Manager (Apr 2005 - Jun 2006)
- The objective was to expand project management expertise within the organisation, while handing over responsibility for the Investment Trusts marketing to a colleague. Projects managed during this period included:
- Set-up and launch of an OEIC.
- Set-up and launch of a Hedge Fund including training and handover to BAU.
- Back and front office systems review – including changes to 3rd party data and systems providers.
- Review and streamlining of investment administration procedures.
- Review of Financial Portfolio Management (FPM) – administration system - to ensure optimal use.
- Development and implementation of new Investment Guideline module in FPM in conjunction with other external users and suppliers.
- Outline of new portfolio management and order entry module for FPM.
- Implement new sector changes required for performance (Statpro) and administration (FPM) systems.
- For this project, involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle
- Involved in sourcing performance systems, liaising with vendors and creating specification plans
- Gathering business requirements with end users
- Creating solutions
- Creating test plan strategies
- Facilitating project meetings and tracking project milestones
- Involved in User Acceptance Testing and test plans
- Implementing solutions
Client Executive / Project Manager (Sep 2000 - Mar 2005)
- Primary contact with a wide range of existing investment trust shareholders both institutional as well as retail clients. This task involved numerous activities from dealing with ad hoc investor enquiries, liaising with 3rd party suppliers, producing product literature to the promotion of the Investment Trusts and related products to the market place.
- During this time, I was also Project Manager for several projects:
- Gaining GIPS / UKIPS Performance Compliance.
- Set up and maintenance of an Investment Guideline monitoring module within the current administrator system – Financial Portfolio Management (FPM).
- Set and maintenance of a Client Relationship Database – Goldmine.
- Set up and launch of Investment Trust wrapper products e.g. ISA and Children's Plan.
- Redesign and update of all product literature relating to Investment Trusts. i.e. Monthly factsheets, Wrapper product brochures, presentations, etc.
- Transfer of wrapper product administration to new administrator.
- Research and Implementation of a new Performance and Attribution System (Statpro).
- Analysis and review of all 3rd Party service providers.
- Development of a company website (Project re-allocated due to redistribution of workloads).
