I am a qualified SEND Teaching Assistant. I have a strong interest in supporting children with special educational needs in schools I have strong Knowledge of SEND legislation, such as The Send Code of Practice, (DoH, DfE,2015), The Equality Act, (DfE,2010) & The Children and Families Act, (DfE, 2014). In which is crucial when supporting and including all pupils with SEND. I have supported learners with several SEN disorders, such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, SEMH and Attachment and Trauma in Children. I have worked in various schools around Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire and London. I have a positive understanding of supporting children with SEND and aim to work in partnership with parents and all members of staff in an educational setting. Additionally, I also have a keen interest in research in how educators implement support strategies to support learners with SEMH, Attachment and Trauma in schools. I would also describe myself as hardworking and proactive individual
in which I am dedicated to providing exceptional learning experiences for students.
I was a supply Teaching Assistant supporting pupils in Year 1 with SEND .I also taught some lessons due to the Teachers sickness and staff shortages.
My role as a Teaching consisted of assisting children individually or in small groups to help them master assignments and reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers. I also supported the classroom teacher with lesson planning and behaviour management, in which assisted in promoting a positive learning environment.
I also Offered one-on-one guidance to struggling students for improved academic performance, in which consisted of Improved student engagement by utilising interactive learning techniques. I also led small group sessions for enhanced focus on challenging topics.
This was a temporary 3-week position to cover sickness
I supported a child in year 6 with high behaviour needs, my role was to assist with his learning and management. behaviour management strategies to support the pupil. My role was to ensured the safety of pupils during extracurricular activities for an accident-free environment. In which I provided safe, stimulating classroom environments to maximise student engagement and attainment. Additionally, I also prepared engaging, effective learning materials to boost stimulation and encourage further academic interest. In which cultivated close working relationships with students, teaching staff and parents. Furthermore, i also prepared positive, productive learning environments with engaging wall displays and effective resources. My role as a SEND teaching assistant also consisted of Prevented student misbehaviour through constant classroom monitoring and prompt interventions. I also established effective classroom routines by providing high-quality practical support to teaching staff.
My contract ended due to their original member of staff returning to work after a period of sickness

I worked at a Special Needs Academy in Corby as a 1:1 Learning support assistant. My role as a Leaching support assistant was to support pupils with their learning and manage any disruptive behaviour and to work well within a team and support the staff I worked with.

I Was an LSA for a pupil in Year 1 with Autism for a 4 month Contract. My role was to support him and to help him manage his behaviour and emotions and to encourage him to concentrate on his work, I implemented support strategies through Makaton, PECS, Visual Boards, Organising Sensory And Calming Activities. Additionally, my role was to ensure that I managed behavioural challenges effectively by maintaining a positive learning environment. I also implemented emotional support during challenging situations; instilled resilience in pupils. Furthermore, I also carried out formative assessments to monitor the pupils progress in school for consistent academic growth.
I was employed as an SEN Teaching Assistant in various schools in Bromley, mainly working with children with Autism/ learning difficulties, and I helped manage their behaviour, encouraging speech through sign language and pecs
