
Claire Wadsworth is a counsellor and Sandtray therapist, currently based in England with over 27 years’ experience of living and working in Asia. She is an International Credited Sandtray Therapist , a member of International Sandtray Association and the World Association of Sand Therapy Professionals.
Claire uses Sandtray as a psychotherapeutic tool in therapy for children, teens, adults, family, group and supervision sessions.
Sandtray is a hands-on and expressive approach that uses miniatures and sand to build 3D scenes. It can incorporate a vast range of techniques from various therapeutic approaches. It can be directive or non-directive, verbal or non-verbal. Clients working through traumatic events, painful or unconscious memories, particularly when too painful to be verbally expressed, discover the sandtray is a safe place to express their emotions, tell their story and find healing, purpose, and direction.
Claire has a background as a RGN and RMN.
She has a Bsc in Health Care (M) and an MA Member Care.
She is a Living Wholeness Leader, Counsellor, Trainer, and Supervisor, as well as an ICST Sandtray Therapist, Trainer and Supervisor.
She spent 27 years in Asia, working with disabled, abandoned, and orphaned children.
She is the Co-founder of Eagles Mount Adventures, China and the Founder of Solomon Sands.
She is also a Marriage, and Mental health well-being trainer
She is versed in English, Mandarin, BSL and CSL.
