Key Stage 2 Lead

  • Responsible for a team of key stage 2 teachers where half termly meetings and mentor and support staff with their own practices and give advice on the children within their class. This has been in the form of peer mentoring, discussions on a day to day basis and moderation meetings. Colleagues have come to observe good practise especially to to see high expectations of behaviour and how to teach the new English curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with the Key Stage 1 Lead to ensure consistency across both schools which have recently federated.
  • Implemented a Cornerstones Curriculum (foundation subjects) leading to a innovative and inspiring curriculum, alongside a knowledge and skills progression map.


Geography and Cornerstones Lead

  • Write and ensure policies are up to date.
  • Update the school website.
  • Ensure that teaching is motivating and effective within the subject and develop teachers CPD further through inspiring Inset Days and staff meetings
  • Monitor planning and learning and analyse gaps in knowledge and how to overcome this.
