Within this role, I use my wealth of experience to appraise GPs at various stages of their career.

I undertake 1-2 appraisals per month.

• lead a large 15,000 patient practice with circa 65 staff over two sites.
• wide clinical experience having practiced in a significantly deprived ward and have a robust approach to all aspects of general practice partnership duties.
• special interests include menopause, psychosexual medicine.
• involved in training GP registrar and allied health professionals.
• provided clinical supervision to ANPs and clinical pharmacists undergoing prescribing diplomas.
• mentoring role to new GPs.

Within my portfolio for this role, I was responsible clinical director for safeguarding and provided clinical oversight of several clinical services provided by the federation.

Attended board meetings and regularly presented updates to the Primary Care Network.

Led on various Medicines Management work streams across Halton incorporating involvement of Local Authority, secondary and tertiary care providers as needed.

Represented Halton CCG at Pan Mersery Area Prescribing Committee and was responsible for dissemination of guidance across the borough.

Was instrumental in the development of a strong clinical advisory group that guided the performance and safeguarding board of Halton CCG which provided clinical focus on all areas of primary care prescribing including acute care, long term conditions, palliative care and near patient testing.

Provided robust, clinical support to the executive board and for several years served as Deputy Chair.

Clinical Chair of various sub committees including performance and safeguarding committee, Service development committee.

Was the clinical advisor on the Finance Committee.
