- Implement non-directive Play Therapy therapeutic techniques based on the child and adolescents individual needs.
- Conduct weekly therapeutic groups with adolescents in secondary school to address and reduce referred social, emotional and behavioural concerns following clinical and ethical guidelines.
- Conduct initial background meetings with clients parent/carers to identify issues plus, hold regular feedback meetings relating to the child or adolescent, offering insight into the client's issues and support to the family whilst maintaining client confidentiality.
- Complete, monitor and analyse quantitative and qualitative diagnostic assessment measures to evaluate therapeutic progress and effectiveness.
- Complete up to date progress notes, mid and end of intervention reports, risk assessments and attend clinical supervision all adhering to BAPT ethical standards and core competencies as well as health and safety legislation and procedures.
- Maintain open communication with multiple network partner agencies including CAMHs, Social Work, Education, GPs Educational Psychology, Police and various other agencies when required to assess needs, monitor therapeutic progress, offer advice and support, provide recommendations and supply and generate resources when required.
- Trained in Filial Therapy February 2024, an intensive psychoeducational parent and child therapeutic intervention using Play Therapy techniques to empower parents/carers to best respond to the child's complex referral concerns.
