Claire Bembridge

I oversee the learning and development of the social work learners within the trust. I oversee the social work students, social work apprentices, THINK Ahead cohort, and those social workers who have newly qualified (NQSW). I recruit, manage, and support the Practice Educators, both those with experience as well as those new to the role.

I support the learners with not only their well-being but their development. I produce workshops, forums, and training sessions to improve reflection skills as well as applications of models and theories to practice and training around legislation and processes.

I encourage learning through supervision and joint work with respective universities. I support these students who may be facing challenges. I work openly and honestly with the learners, to not only protect them and the trust, but the profession too.

I supported service users and families with empathy and compassion during difficult times.

I informed families about available community resources, connecting them with essential services such as housing assistance, financial aid, or healthcare providers.

I would advocate for clients' rights, navigating complex systems to secure necessary resources and benefits.

The role required me to maintain accurate case documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and facilitating informed decision-making while working alongside an MDT.

I was a practice educator for students and apprentices and supervised unqualified workers within the team.
