• Responsible for the daily running of a large restaurant, pub and sports bar..
• Ensuring The business was Health & Safety compliant at all times.
• Managing a team of 35+, delivering & monitoring training, ensuring rota’s were published 3 weeks in advance and within company budget.
• Employee relation support for 14 sites, conducting investigations, disciplinaries & grievances. Delivering outcomes and ensuring the necessary records were stored.
• Maintaining 5* EHO rating, ensuring all food safety standards were in place & adhered to at all times. Managing food and liquor stock ordering & rotation.
• Responsible for managing the business Profit & Loss account to deliver profit.
• Planning events & bookings, creating sales plans to drive the business.
• Building relations with customers and dealing with complaints to a satisfactory resolution.

When I was appointed as General Manager of The Watermill it was a failing business.

I left in 2009 after taking the business through a very successful refurbishment, sales had increased by 42% and profit was meeting the company target of 50%.

I was also responsible for the 32 bedroom Premier Inn, ensuring occupancy targets were met and monthly audits were successfully passed.
