  • As part of my college course, I have the option of completing an internship with an accountancy firm. I applied for internships at four accountancy firms and was offered an internship at all four (PWC, Grant Thornton, EY, KPMG).
  • Currently, I am working in the Meta offices in Ballsbridge, Dublin, as I am part of the team of EY auditors that carry out audits on all of Meta’s entities.
  • This includes preparing and reviewing financial statements that have been provided by Meta. For example, when examining the cash accounts of one of Meta's entities, I must ensure that invoices and bank statements all confirm every single transaction that takes place. This process must be carried out for multiple accounts, such as Payroll, Trade Receivables, Intercompany Expenses, and much more.
