I am an outgoing, friendly and passionate professional with a focus on customer centricity and commerciality. Throughout my current position as Email Marketing Assistant at Schuh, I have furthered skills and knowledge gained from Honours Degree in Marketing at the University of Strathclyde.
In my role, I lead in all stages of coordinating our email marketing campaigns, including planning based on the retail calendar and current trends, briefing, content creation, product selection, email building, customer segmentation and reporting.
I have a keen eye for detail and prioritise keeping up to date with industry news, trends and regulations, particularly GDPR and EAA, in order to ensure our campaigns remain compliant and accessible for all customers.
I am data-driven, and have shaped our reporting structure to ensure that key engagement and conversion metrics are analysed for each campaign to help shape subsequent email strategies.
I also pride myself on strong creative and communication skills, and am especially passionate about strong copywriting and guiding customers through the purchase journey through a combination of storytelling and persuasive messaging.
Finally, I love the challenge of promoting vastly different product offerings to distinct customer profiles and I am eager for the opportunity to put these skills to use to market Scotland's best and most significant product - whisky!
In my spare time, I enjoy engaging in online material about marketing, branding and consumer behaviour, and always keep up to date with industry news and trend-cycles.
I have been a volunteer Senior Facilitator at the Ayrshire based diversity and inclusion group 4Ward2Gether for 9 years. Myself and my team deliver workshops for all ages on discrimination, sectarianism and prejudice, organise learning weekends located in Belfast for Ayrshire pupils, plan fundraising events, liaise with stakeholders such as schools and churches and coordinate team-building activities to educate our community and work towards a more accepting future.
