Christopher Tausney

Edinburgh

Summary

Fourth year Cybersecurity undergraduate with a passion for all things Cyber. I have developed practical skills through both my academic projects and real-world work experience, building a solid foundation in network security, digital forensics and threat analysis.

Has successfully adapted to a range of technical and professional environments, working effectively both independently in academic scenarios and as part of security teams. Recognised for reliability, integrity, and commitment to high standards in every task.

Experienced in applying cybersecurity principles to real-world scenarios, including network defence, incident response, and digital forensics. Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Continuously developing technical expertise and staying current with emerging threats and security practices.

Outside of cybersecurity, I am an active DJ with a passion for electronic and dance music. I find a connection between the structured, rhythmic patterns of music production and the logical, methodical thinking required in computing and cybersecurity. Both demand precision, timing, and an appreciation for patterns, which strengthens my focus and creativity in technical problem-solving.
