Role summary

HV and LV Electrical equipment installation, commissioning and integrity assurances. Ensuring complete technical compliance and functional operation of high voltage power generation and distribution switchgears

• Deciding the best location for energy generation (such as where a wind farm should be located)
• Designing equipment, checking site conditions (both above and below ground) so that renewable technologies can be installed.
• Conducting research into the most cost effective processes
• Develop team schedules and assist in the successful onboarding and training of team members
• Create and communicate a clear list of expectations and goals for team members to follow
• Start-up and commissioning of solar inverters in customer´s Photovoltaic solar Plant.
• Proactively identify potential technical issues and suggest corrective actions
• Provide diagnostic analysis, repair and/or preventative maintenance to customer
• Work remotely and travel to solar plants when required

Plan and schedule projects, estimate time and materials, supervise subordinates, maintain records and files and prepare reports. Plan and supervise the work of electricians. Plan and estimate electrical jobs. Maintain records on electrical jobs and assign to appropriate personnel.

Major Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for operation, maintenance and repair of all electrical High Voltage and Low Voltage equipment within onshore and offshores
• Managed and lead electrical team to excellence.
• Ensured that operational downtime brought to minimum via effective leadership
• Complete initial electrical site safety report before each job commences
• Issue permits when required Oversee electricians or electrical subcontractors, issue commissioning engineers permits and assist with commissioning phase
• Complete electrical site safety audits and electrical completion paperwork Ensure safe working practices and electrical safety rules are followed by electricians on site

The responsibilities of this Electrical Site Supervisor role include overseeing electrical work and site electricians, scoping work and ordering materials, issuing permits and ensuring electrical safety rules are followed.

• Ensured day to day running of Electrical equipment and systems, through efficient supervision and mentoring
• Responsible for proper operation of the Maintenance Systems using a Computerized Maintenance Management System on vessels equipment
• Performed installation, calibration and commissioning of electrical equipment and instruments, such as; Top drive systems, Drawworks, Elmago brake systems, Brake monitoring units, Travelling block monitors, SCR systems, Propulsion systems (Siplinks), Generators, Mud pumps, HV/LV Transformers, Air compressors, AC/DC motors, Refrigeration and Air conditioning systems, Cranes, smoke sensors, alarm systems and switchboards

• Assigns, schedules, supervises and lays out the work assignments of the bridge electricians
• Maintains records of assigned electrical projects including completion date,, supplies and equipment used and costs incurred
• Orders, receives and distributes supplies for assigned projects to electrical staff in a timely and efficient manner to ensure projects are completed on schedule
• Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of parts and equipment to ensure bridge electrical systems and equipment can be repaired in a timely and effective manner
• Coordinates activities of electricians with activities of other departments to ensure successful completion of projects and goals
• Conducts a preventative maintenance inspection program in order to proactively identify and correct any electrical systems or equipment which might lead to electrical maintenance problems or failures
• Reviews and monitors safety procedures to ensure bridge electricians are following District safety policies as well as any electrical industry recognized safety procedures and policies
• Maintains service records of all key electrical equipment as required and as needed to meet any state or Federal requirements
• Provides cost and time estimates for electrical projects as requested
• Assists the electrical superintendent in designing new equipment installations including selection of appropriate electrical panels, wire sizes, disconnects, etc
• To meet national electrical code criteria
• Assists the electrical superintendent in modifying existing electrical systems when required to ensure any changes meet the national electrical code and the modifications are completed in a professional manner
• Schedules work assignments of bridge electricians to ensure adequate staffing is available to cover all electrical department shifts
• Maintains an effective, professional working relationship with all department heads, department foreman and their associated work crews.

• Servicing, Calibration Maintenance and Testing and Field application of Measurement/Logging While Drilling tools
• These includes: Resistivity tools, Sonic tools, Position Monitors, Pulsers, Density and Neutron tools
• Maintenance of Wireline Logging tools like CSNG, DIL, MDLL etc
• Maintenance, Upgrade and Troubleshooting of surface computer systems.
