Team Lead Recruitment Consultant

ManPower Group
Remote
06.2021 - 04.2024

Started off as a Recruitment Consultant (180) in June 2021 and then progressed to Team Lead by August 2022. In 2024 there was a company restructure and I stepped down to a Principal Consultant level before leaving in April.

Key Responsibilities as Team Leader

  • Managing a team of 4 to 7 consultants varying in levels of seniority and experience; this required me to quality check my team's work and maintain good communication within the team to keep morale high, including daily team meetings to set expectations, structure the team's day and getting updates on ongoing projects.
  • Team appraisals and development- one to one meetings with my team members guiding and exploring how consultants can improve in their current role and progress in their career.
  • Drove process improvements through rigorous analysis of existing procedures.
  • Identified skill gaps within the team and organised relevant training sessions.
  • Liaised with senior management on strategic planning initiatives, contributing valuable insights.
  • Disciplinary meetings with underperforming members of the team or actions outside of process that need addressing.
  • Conducting data checks on key metrics for each account and leading weekly meetings to present these to the account directors.
  • Liaising with senior members of the business on strategy changes and driving these new strategies in my team, working collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure a smooth and united rollout.
