Primary Responsibilities:

  • Core Teaching: Organisation and delivery of workshops for Year 2 & Year 3 Core modules. Planning and presenting of workshops designed to develop the understanding of fundamental physics concepts for undergraduate students. Work closely with small groups of students to facilitate the learning process. Subjects include: Quantum World, Classical Fields, Wave Phenomena, Thermal & Statical Physics, Introduction to Solid State Physics, Atoms, Photons & Fundamental Particles, and Symmetries & Action Principles.
  • Coursework Moderation: Reviewed and moderated weekly coursework for Year 1 and Year 2 modules, ensuring marking consistency and delivering constructive feedback to students.
  • Coursework Convener: Coordinated coursework submission and assessment processes for Year 2 and Year 3 modules. Liaised with module conveners and PhD markers to streamline evaluation and resolve student queries with clear, timely communication..


Other Responsibilities:

  • Graide Trial: Led the implementation of Graide, an AI-assisted marking system, within Year 2 and Year 3 courses. Successfully integrated the tool with minimal disruption to students and improved both the quantity and quality of feedback provided to students, while reducing staff marking workload.

Supporting the University's School & College Liaison Team' outreach initiatives specifically Loughborough's Education Advancement Programme (LEAP).   • Feedback & Assessment: Provide regular feedback on homework assignments as well as overall assessment of final project and giving productive feedback for further progression.
