During basic training i learned battlefield first aid, learned fire and manoeuvre on a battlefield using blank and live rounds. I learned day to day solidering skills needed to further develop my career.


During phase two training is where we went more in depth with soldering skills to survive in a battle field when under heavy fire. I also learned how to find and neutralise anti personnel mines.


During phase three training is where i learned my trade within the royal engineers which was an Armoured engineer. my duties in this role was to maintain and prepare two different types of armoured tanks, the Titan and Trojan armoured tanks. During this phase i learned how to drive, operate and look after the tanks and their equipment.


Once training was completed i headed off to my unit at 22 Engr Regt in Tidworth, where i used to look after the tanks and prepare them for exercise, maintaining a high standard of workman ship.
