Commissioned by Tees Valley Combined Authority to deliver transport infrastructure schemes for communities and businesses across Tees Valley.
I currently act as Project Manager, leading the delivery of four projects. I ensure effective collaboration across the multidisciplinary team—including CDM, Highways, Drainage, Signals and Street Lighting—as well as with the client, through proactive management of project documentation and communications. I chair bi-weekly internal meetings to review programme, cost and risk, ensuring timely client communication and alignment with NEC4 contractual requirements.
Commissioned by National Highways to deliver schemes under the Scheme Delivery Framework (SDF), supporting the maintenance and improvement of the Strategic Road Network (SRN) through renewal and enhancement works.
I acted as Project Manager for three schemes delivered under the SDF, which included the improvement of an M56 police observation platform and a walking and cycling scheme. I led the projects from inception through to detailed design. My responsibilities included management of multi-disciplinary teams, programme, cost, risk, and contract management. I oversaw the preparation and management of project documentation and deliverables, ensuring compliance with NEC4 contract requirements.
Commissioned by Newcastle City Council to provide design services for the major maintenance of the Tyne Bridge, including bridge engineering, building structures, building surveying and environmental services.
I aided the project manager by ensuring workshare and contract agreements were in place, was accountable for producing payment applications and monitoring costs versus progress for each agreement. I assisted with the management of change control processes in line with the NEC4 PSSC contract. I ensured successful collaboration on the project, through liaison with the multi-disciplinary design team and the client, by managing project documentation, communications, and quality assurance, through the issue of documentation via the online project management system Viewpoint.
Commissioned by the Environment Agency to provide project management services for the Tees Tidelands project, a sub-programme formed to deliver flood risk and environmental projects in the Lower Tees Catchment.
I managed project finances, tracking and reporting expenditure using supplier forecasts and client financial data. I also assumed the role of risk manager, by facilitating risk workshops, updating risk registers, and providing risk reports. I provided dedicated assistance to the project manager by managing the change control processes in line with the NEC4 PSC Option C contract, and by supporting with controls and planning management.
Commissioned by Sunderland City Council to design and guide through planning Stage 3 of the Sunderland Strategic Transport Corridor, a major regeneration scheme, creating a critical dual carriageway link between the A19 and the city centre.
I supported the Project Manager across all stages of the project, including detailed design, construction and post-completion. I managed risk by facilitating workshops, maintaining risk registers and producing risk reports, and coordinated progress, risk and design review meetings to monitor programme delivery. I oversaw project documentation, including the issue of drawings and documents, and supported forecasting and invoicing. Post-completion, I worked closely with the multidisciplinary team and client to collate information for the production of the Health and Safety file.
