Summary

As an aspiring applicant who is backed up by my 13 years of experience as a nurse (9 years with Cardiology), I can say that I have prepared myself well to meet the standards set for the role of Cardiothoracic Senior Staff Nurse.

My degree in Masters of Arts in Nursing (Major in Medical-Surgical Nursing) and as a Cardiovascular Nurse and Researcher trained me to embrace evidence-based practices. As part of our educational system to promote learning, I also have a background in nursing education that would be essential for mentorship that plays a big role for our colleagues and in promoting health education to our patients.

Moreover, with my years of clinical experience I can say that I have developed the required skills and knowledge of the structure and needs of a nursing system with regards to practice and management. As an overseas nurse practitioner when I started with NHS, I already have the experience of being the Nurse-in-Charge in the my home country for nearly a decade of my practice as an Intensive Care Unit Nurse. In my almost four (4) years of experience as part of NHS, I further developed my leadership and management skills by being familiar and knowledgeable with the system of NHS.

What motivated me to apply is my will to enhance and also share my knowledge that I gained through experience about Cardiology. Furthermore, aside from the given criteria needed for the role, I can say that my edge to every applicant would be my passion for Nursing. I believe that in order to love the profession, one must embrace the essence of being selfless and being one with people.

In conclusion, as an institution known for excellence and innovation, I envision that would help and support me in every way possible to excel in my chosen field of interest and expertise.
