Aviation Business Enterprise Module - University, 2024/25

• Design, constructed, and tested a scale model glider using everyday sustainable materials, achieving a maximum glide distance of 10.5m (requirement: 5m)
• Optimised aerodynamic performance by adjusting wing dihedral, centre of gravity and surface area, optimised design through 15+ test flights with measured performance data.
• Waste reduced by 60% compared with the baseline design through efficient material use and reusability focus.
• Produced a 20 minute team presentation which covered deign methodology, sustainability, ethics, security, and equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in teamwork.
• Worked as a 7 person team, meeting the deadlines, communication with one another, collaborative thinking to produce ideas.
