Overseeing the creation of actionable MI for Executive Committees and senior leadership teams, I ensure that tactical and strategic MI is appropriate, meaningful and joined up. I pride myself in visual storytelling, data-led analysis and a holistic approach to providing insights into the operational performance across the FCA. Including;

• Production of monthly COO reports to the Executive Committee, including narrative and observations on significant trends, outliers and areas of concern.
• Creating collaborative links and networks across the FCA, linking people and processes are joined up to maximise storytelling and connected workstreams.
• Quarterly Performance Reviews at a Divisional level, presented to the Board.
• Suites of Tableau dashboards for Authorisations, Supervision, Operational Service Metrics, Finance & Corporate Services.
• Automated data pipelines from source systems, through the Data Lake, Tableau Prep and Tableau Server.
• Line management, coaching and mentoring. Ensuring that the team is Agile, responsive, resilient and open to challenge.

As Deputy Head of BI, I was responsible for delivering Agile-led, customer-focussed analytics for HEE, other ALBs and their stakeholders. A strategic role in the management and analysis of NHS data, supporting projects (including Trainee Management, Workforce Planning and Financial Reporting), business decision-making, benchmarking, trends, KPIs and other business indicators. including:

• HEE's Equality Diversity & Inclusion Dashboard. Staff Retention, Progression, Turnover and Differential Attainment, enriched by Census and spatial data to slice data geographically.
• KPIs, Risk, Data Quality & Exception reporting.
• Using Azure Machine learning to deep dive into factors driving Junior Doctor attrition.
• Implementing Agile/SCRUM/Kanban working methodologies throughout the Directorate,

As a Principal BI Analyst I trained, mentored and identified best practice for the team, including:

• SQL queries, views, stored procedures, functions, jobs.
• Producing and presenting analytical information to technical and non-technical audiences using software tools such as Tableau, Power BI and Excel.
• Providing information, guidance and advice on the management, interpretation and use of data and information to stakeholders, including Workforce Planning, Quality, Finance and Operations departments and external stakeholders.

An analytical role in Junior Doctor training pathways, including:

• Carrying out data mappings and drafting bespoke data migration scripts, including SSIS packages. Creating and managing ETL procedures between databases and websites.
• Creating and delivering training packages for staff using Information Systems and standard reporting tools, including staff inductions and user support.

SQL reporting, Data Quality and Database Administration supporting trainee doctors and educators in London.

One year full time before switching to a part-time position whilst completing my degree.

I have been a keen musician from a young age, starting with a classical background, performing in places such as the Royal Albert Hall, the Sydney Opera House and Winchester Cathedral. My musical interests shifted towards rock and pop music during my teenage years and, after completing my A-Levels this became my main focus. I played in touring bands, playing bass guitar, winning HMV’s Best Unsigned Band competition in 2003. My work also included studio recording (I have recorded with Sony, Universal and Decca in addition to independent labels). I am still an active musician to this day, albeit on an amateur basis.
