• Working on the CAM South framework planning all engineering access requests, isolations on LNW South, LNW Central which often involved emergency out of hours requests due to failures.

Nov 2015 - Dec 2021

• Working as part of the TRU route upgrade team leading all possession, access and haulage on the East of Leeds project between Leeds and Church Fenton on projects 2,3 & 4. Alliance partners included J Murphy & Sons, Volker Rail & Siemens.

Sept 2015 - Nov 2015

• Taken on permanently and given a Senior Planner role looking after all access requirements in PPS, Green Zone Access, Trains, Safe Work Packs (SWP) for Earthworks/Drainage schemes in the LNW North & South.

• Working for the Civil Asset Management (CAM) North team on reactive remits requiring urgent attention by the Network Rail RAM team. Booking worksites in PPS, line blockages through the green zone access system and producing SSOW packs.
• Moving onto the CP5 Earthworks & Drainage workbank planning all access, isolations also liaising with a range of isolation subcontractors.
• Attending Weekly Planning meetings on the LNW North area, whilst also dialling into a weekly conference to discuss all LNW South access requirements for review with the IP Central planning coordinators. Competent in the use of NROL to book trains / materials

Produce work package plans, task briefing sheets, book access (possessions, line blockages), book all safety critical staff / resources, liaise with clients, produce SSOW packs, attend weekly planning meetings / picop meetings.

Plan access for the TRS / BCS high output programme dealing with train paths, tamper paths to/from site. Isolations, TSRs, attend weekly PDR meetings and weekly planning meetings to discuss all aspects of the plan with other contractors.

• To assist the PICOP and provide possession support for possessions in the Lancs & Cumbria area, duties include laying detonators / possession limit boards to ensure all staff on track can work in a safe manner. Key automatic signals to danger, let trains in / out of possessions and help out the PICOP in any way possible. As of May 2014 I am now passed out as a PICOP but require the relevant mentoring shifts.

• Entering access requests via the possession planning system for all permanent way and civils work carried out by Story Contracting. Liaise directly with Network Rail for Isolation, TSR and on track plant requests to deliver the core work.
• Produce all SSOW paperwork to ensure all Story Contracting staff can carry out their daily duties as safely as possible.

• Identify the access required to deliver the maintenance work plan. Submitting access requests to the area team via the possession planning and green zone recording system. Ensure that all requests meet required Network Rail timescales.

• Manage the local TSR process
• Manage all late notice requests through area control
• Responsible for checking and inputting all requests into PPS
• Review all possession documentation and identify any changes or errors that affect the safety of the possession
• Ensure that all engineering train requests are submitted within haulage timescales

• To assist in the development of the possession planning process and input worksite applications including isolations and engineering haulage into the possession planning system ensuring that all applications are compliant with rules of the route. Deputised for the area access planner chairing meetings and covering higher-grade duties on a number of occasions.

• Deputise for the Possession Assurance Managers on all aspects of the Possession plan using Pride / PPS data and convert to a user-friendly format for Possession meetings.
• Working closely with the possession planning team helping them with the T-10 Day, T-4 WON T-14 WON application and masters in PPS.
