  • Key adviser on system requirements for a project to implement a new GRC system (MetricStream).
  • Improved understanding of operational risk in the 1LoD by developing and conducting operational risk training, including all staff computer based training (CBT) and face-to-face training.
  • Provided input into key regulatory documents including the ICAAP, ORSA, SFCR and Pillar 3 Disclosure. Prepared 1LoD colleagues for a SREP visit.
  • Provided risk expertise in various forums and working groups, including GRC System Project Board, Risk Training Working Group, Product Update Forum, Brexit Programme Board and Brexit Risk Forum.

  • Project managed implementation of new RCSA standards and procedures, ensuring timely delivery to meet regulatory imposed requirements and deadlines.. Enhanced RCSA Reporting to governance committees.

Credit Suisse – Operational Risk Framework Development:

  • Enhanced the Operational Risk Framework to meet regulatory requirements, including policy, documentation, procedures, risk event templates, process flows and a KRI trend analysis tool.
  • Supported Implementation of the framework in the front office.

UBS – Front Office Controls Assessment:

  • Reviewed and rationalised controls to create a control library and ensure consistency across front office business lines.
  • Designed and implemented an improved quarterly front office control assessment process, including the production of MI required for business head approval.

Coop Bank – Operational Risk Data Analysis:

  • Analysis and mapping of legacy operational risk data including internal and external loss data, RCSAs and scenarios to a new 'Principle Risk' structure.
  • Facilitated scenario analysis workshops to determine potential for a reduction in the capital requirement through control enhancements.

Bank of New York Mellon – Resolution Planning:

  • Led and project managed the development of the clients Phase 1a Resolution Plan response.

Lehman Brothers in Administration – Resolution:

  • Led 'Data Integrity' workstream on a project to develop a client statement reflecting client positions across multiple products and business areas.
  • Developed corporate action processing functionality for a tool used to analyse and distribute counterparty assets.
  • Developed proposition, Business Case, Business Requirement Document and Specification documentation for a project to accurately display counterparty client money entitlements in the tool used for asset distribution.

People Management:

  • People managed 10 graduates through the PwC graduate scheme and three Senior Associates. This included providing support and advice through regular catch-ups and representing the staff members at performance reviews.
