At Big Wave Campers i done everything from valeting new build campers to doing warranty repairs, both mechanical and paint work.
i would have to finish jobs to a high standard such as fitting diesel heaters and tow bars or sanding and polishing paint with scratches or orange peel ect after paint work has been done.
I started working full time with West End Motors during my time as a self employed valeter as my work was quieting down and i had a family to support.
I was doing work there to begin with 2 days a week and i got on with the manager very well and he offered me a job full time in the body shop stripping and fitting cars for repairs.
I really enjoyed this job as i do like to be more practical and see end results.
A few years after my daughter was born i decided to try and start a valeting business, the first year was really good but not so much in the winter times as we know with the cornish weather it was sometimes hard to do any work of this type in the rain.
I still made money and did gain regular customers at differnt garages and body shops.
As i mentioned in the last job i finished this up at the end of my 2nd year and went onto West End Motors.
My main roles at Hunters was operating cnc plasma machines, break press machine, sheet metal rollers and drilling and tapping.
Here i learnt alot to be honest with fabrication and cnc/cad software. lots of problem solving with prototype stoves working along side the design team.
