Launched Sope in 2006 applying repair skills, programming and sales from prior roles. From Cash Registers it went onto setting up and installing and maintaining Epos Systems.
Rolled out and installed 450+ Terminals across 180 sites for a pub chain, Amber Taverns and managed them for 15+ years (amongst others). Cabled and networked the pubs with CAT5 to identical heavy duty custom built back office PC's (with MS Office) initially with Windows XP, the Windows 8 and then upgraded current hardware (keeping motherboard/tower) to Windows 10 (with faster processor, SSD drives and 16gb DDR3 expansion).
Using TeamViewer to remote logon for all basic support. Personally managed a 7 day phone support for sites assisting the operators and talking them through issues that require resolutions (a sometimes stressful environment). If no resolution found over phone or remotely would call out to site within 48 hours and carry out necessary repairs to the hardware Terminals, PC's, HP Laser Printers, Network Switches etc. Often could be a damaged cable so rewiring CAT5 would be done whilst on-site.
