Summary

I am a reflective and empathetic trainee psychotherapist, currently training in the field of Transactional Analysis. I am developing the skills to hold a safe space for people to explore deeper into their thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I bring a wide and varied set of skills from my time teaching abroad in the Middle East, and more recently as an entrepreneur, starting up and running my own company here in the UK. During my time teaching abroad I worked with a wide range of people from all over the world. I led, supported and mentored not only children, but trainee teachers and members of my team. I had to manage many emotional, safe guarding and disciplinary challenges throughout my career, which required me to use many of the same skills used in counselling and psychotherapy. Returning to the UK and setting up my own business during the pandemic, meant having to start a new career and create a job out of nothing. This required me to learn a whole host of new skills to generate my own clients and advertising my business. I have now been running a successful company for over 4 years. It was through my work in Splat & Chat and personal therapy journey, that I realised the importance of mental well- being and making it accessible and inclusive for everyone. I also have a passion for the outdoors and have found healing by immersing myself in nature. Making mental well- being and self care inclusive and accessible through creating an authentic and safe connection, is the main value of my business. I hope to find a placement that aligns with my core values of diversity, inclusion and self-empowerment.
