• Recently enrolled into this programme and currently awaiting Occupational Health Clearance

• This was a post based on remote working. The job involved triaging patients with acute presentations especially those with different traumas to the appropriate secondary centres for prompt intervention. This post requires strong decision making skills and the ability to quickly determine the most appropriate care pathways for patients.
• I collaborated with a multidisciplinary team, including specialists, to coordinate patient care and manage referrals.

> Geriatrics Medicine (including Orthogeriatrics)

I did a 6 months rotation in this post and it involved looking after elderly patients on the ward with multi-morbidities and including people at end of life (palliative care). I was also involved with reviewing orthogeriatrics patients as we had some of our patients having falls and sustaining fractures whilst on the ward and needing orthogeriatrics review.

We did daily ward rounds and monitored patients closely to quickly identify signs of deterioration and escalate where necessary. I also responded to emergency bleeps and involved with resuscitation.

I prepared comprehensive discharge summaries, ensuring that patients, their caregivers and GP were well-informed and updated. I kept the communications line open to patient's relatives and updating them with their care (with full consent from patients while maintaining confidentiality).

While in this post, I identified protocol gaps in DVT and PE Management, conducted a comprehensive audit to assess adherence to guidelines, and presented actionable recommendations that improved clinical practice, enhanced staff training, and ensured alignment with Trust, NHS, and NICE standards.

> Respiratory medicine

I did a 3 months rotation through this post and had similar roles as above.

• Responded to emergency calls, performed patient assessments and initiated appropriate care
• Collaborated with emergency response teams to ensure effective clinical decision-making
• Provided training and mentorship to junior staff and conducted quality assurance activities

> Trauma & Orthopaedics

I worked as the Lead Resident Doctor for the department providing both clinical and leadership roles. I provided leadership and oversight in the department, preparing work planners, organizing teaching sessions and seminars and problem solving at registrar level

I have managed numerous orthopedic emergencies unsupervised such as reduction of shoulder dislocations, reduction and immobilization of closed limb fractures some of which I reduced under enhanced vision by the aid of a fluoroscope.

I conducted patient evaluations and assisted in many surgical procedures. I was involved with the post-operative care and treatment planning for trauma patients

> Emergency room doctor

• Provided leadership and oversight in the emergency department, ensuring efficient patient flow, prioritizing critical cases and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver timely, high-quality care
• Was involved with triaging and managing acute presentations to the department. I was involved with both minor and major cases with good feedback.
• Supervised junior doctors, nurses, and support staff, offering guidance in clinical decision-making and maintaining adherence to best practices and hospital protocols
• Led daily briefings and debriefings, addressing any operational challenges and promoting a cohesive, responsive team environment
• Ensured clinical governance and coordinated patient management and triage processes

• Provided clinical leadership and patient assessments in emergency settings
• Oversaw the operations of about five primary healthcare centres, coordinating patient engagement and care activities offered by the healthcare professionals
• Monitored and communicated the success and challenges, faced by the staff members involved in the continuous vaccinations programme
• Conducted training and retraining of staff to uphold service quality and standards across all centres
