I have extensive experience working in front line services and several years of experience in leadership and management roles. I have a management style that provides clear leadership using a strengths based approach. I can articulate service aims and objectives and always ensure I understand my role and expectations.

I enjoy new challenges and learning new skills in unfamiliar areas of work. My current role is not replicated anywhere else and is a brand new concept of future care delivery in Scotland. The role has required me to learn new skills in Operation management to effectively deliver on the standards, aims and objectives of the service led agreement under the Health and Social Care Partnership Lanarkshire. I believe I have adapted well to these responsibilities by utilising my existing transferable skills and knowledge.

I believe I have demonstrated in my CV the diverse range of skills and knowledge I have, to lead and manage a team effectively towards successful outcomes and performance indicators. I consider that my skills are transferable to adapt to new roles and responsibilities that a career with the Scottish Government can offer. I can adapt to new settings and work commitments well and I have provided a summary of my continuous professional development and reflecting on successful past transitions and new learning. I am motivated to undertake job induction training and learning new IT systems and processes, along with developing a clear understanding of role expectations.

I always focus on my strengths and self reflect on ways to improve my practice along with utilising professional supervision, which I believe is a healthy way to ensure I always adhere to the quality and standards of my organisation. I have been responsible to make decisions which can have a significant impact on how people live their lives. These decisions require skills to make sound judgements based on good information gathering and evidence that is equitable and accurate.
